Reference this guide to ensure you are prepared for your SOTA Cloud installation.
Setting up SOTA Cloud marks a significant step in your onboarding process. To ensure a smooth install appointment, it's crucial to plan ahead and be well-prepared.
Here are some key points to consider before your installation:
- Confirm that the hardware requirements have been checked and reviewed.
- Appointments typically last 1.5 hours and can accommodate up to 10 workstations. Additional appointments are needed for more than 10 workstations.
- Have a team member from your practice participate in device testing, preferably someone who regularly uses these devices during daily tasks.
- Ensure all devices (Sensors, Cameras, Pano, Phospher Plate) are prepared and ready for testing.
- Make sure that computers are connected to the internet and powered on.
- Arrive promptly to the install appointment. If there is a delay, please notify us to avoid being marked as a No Show after 30 minutes.
- If your IT company will be involved, ensure they join the session to assist with computer access and the installation of SOTA Hub or any necessary device drivers like TWAIN.
- All Pano devices require a TWAIN, so ensure it is installed before the appointment. Contact the manufacturer if needed.
- Check if your devices require specific drivers as they are not automatically integrated with SOTA. Failing to install the drivers beforehand may lead to rescheduling the device testing section of the appointment. Please reference the following non-native sensors which require manufacture drivers.
- Jazz
- Dentimax Cloud
- VaTech
- Suni
- iRay
- Woodpecker
- In case of hardware or driver issues, we will inform you and provide recommendations to resolve them. Our support technicians are not a substitute for your IT Provider and may require their assistance for troubleshooting during the installation process.
- In cases where you are having hardware issues in you previous software, you may encounter the same issue in SOTA. Over time, devices can show signs of wear and tear and may need the manufacture to troubleshoot.
