How-To set up Mouthwatch Cameras

Notes on how to configure Mouthwatch cameras for Sota Cloud

New PC Setup: This is for PCs that have never used a Mouthwatch camera in their old Software or SOTA Cloud.

  1. Download or copy the setupmouthwatch.exe installer to the new PC and run it.
    Setup Mouthwatch exe

    1. The Password to run the installer is YP9RQH

  2. Right-click the Mouthwatch capture icon in the system tray and select the SOTA Imaging option under Other Software.

  3. Allow Chrome to use the Camera in SOTA Cloud. You can do this one of two ways.
    a. Plug the camera in and log into SOTA Cloud. Once you enter the settings, it should ask if you want to use the camera. Click Allow.
    b. Log into Sota Cloud click the lock next to the SOTA Cloud URL and Turn the Camera option on.

  4. Go into Settings and click the Cameras tab. From there, Default to the USB Video Device in the list with a device ID next to it in parentheses.

  5. Click Save and go through the steps to take an image with the Mouthwatch camera. I suggest waiting one or two seconds before you select the tile you want to start on so it can properly load the Camera option into the dropdown menu to the right.

OLD PC: This is for PCs that already use Mouthwatch Cameras in their Old Software and are Switching to SOTA Cloud

  1. Right-click the Mouthwatch capture icon in the system tray and:

    1. For the newer version of Mouthwatch Capture select the SOTA Imaging option under Other Software.
    2. If the PC has an older version of Mouthwatch Capture select the Custom Keystrokes Option. You will set the options to the example below and click save.

*NOTE: This step will be used again BEFORE the office switches to SOTA CLoud. Sota Cloud techs switch this setting back to the old software so the camera can be used properly before the office is ready to move over to SOTA Cloud.

  3. Go into Settings and click the Cameras tab. From there, Default to the USB Video Device in the list with a device ID next to it in parentheses.

  4. Click Save and go through the steps to take an image with the Mouthwatch camera. I suggest waiting one or two seconds before you select the tile you want to start on so it can properly load the Camera option into the dropdown menu to the right.

  5. After the testing is complete, you will want to switch the Mouthwatch Capture back to the old software so they can use it with their current software before the go-live of SOTA Cloud.
