[Updates](https://help.sotacloud.com/troubleshooting?hsLang=en#updates) # Troubleshoot: Disabling SOTA Hub Automatic Updates Prompt ## This article provides instructions on how to disable the automatic update prompt in SOTA Hub to prevent it from appearing when a new update is available. ### Steps to Disable SOTA Hub Auto-Update Pop-Up: 1. **Close SOTA Hub**: - Right-click on the SOTA Hub icon in the system tray and select **Quit**. 2. **Access the SOTA Hub File Location**: - Right-click on the **SOTA Hub** shortcut on your desktop. - Select **Open File Location** from the dropdown menu. 3. **Edit the SOTA Hub Configuration File**: - Double-click on the **SOTAHub.ini** file (it may show up as **SOTAHub** with "Configuration Settings" listed under its description). - Locate the section labeled `[Hub Section]`. - Add the line `AutomaticUpdates=False` below `SotaPopEnabledVaTech=True`. 4. **Save and Close the INI File**: - Go to the **File** dropdown menu and click **Save**. - Close the INI file. 5. **Re-Open SOTA Hub**: - Re-launch the SOTA Hub from the desktop or system tray. ### Results: If the office hasn't run the auto-update for the SOTA Hub, the pop-up asking users to update will no longer appear.
